Good Bad & Ugly In July !!
July 24th Leeds Ch Sh, Bouncer & Wilma were down the line in what was inconsistent and infathomable judging. However the judge got two things right the BCC and the BP so the whole day was not
entirely wasted!
July 23rd Leeds Ch Sh, Dani was 2nd in limit once again losing out to dogs with upright shoulders, no bend of stifle and in consequence no reach and drive, simply
shocking!.
July 18th Evesham & DCS open show, Wilma is BOB under the absolutely gorgeous Nick Gourlay (Witchstone), and group 3 under Julien Barney (Romaunt) who may be good looking but is definitely short sighted!
Dani the girl from Downunder was BOB under judge Ken Humphries (Begrafton).
July 17th NW&PBS Ch Sh, Dani (Yarraman Blu Koala In Kofyn) is 3rd in open bitch under judge Mrs Swann, as she was entered in this class in error being a little immature compared with others,
3rd was not too bad!
July 4th MBTC open show, Lottie (Ir Ch Kofyn Karbon Footprint) is RBB under judge Mrs Mary LLewellyn (Bullypins). Raps (Erenden Pavlova In Kofyn) is Best Veteran!
July 2nd Windsor Ch Sh, Bouncer takes BD and BOS in the NSC under judge Tom Mather, he is only beaten by the beautiful Kerry, Chelsey who goes on to clinch BIS. Wilma is 2nd in open bitch behind Chelsey!.
June 27th All Terrier Breed Club Show, Denmark, Bouncer is BD & BOS judge Mrs Laura Cox (Coxgal).
June 26th Miniature Bull Terrier Club Show, Denmark, Bouncer is BD & BOS, judge Mrs Jacquie Thornley (Warbonnet).
June 25th World Dog Show Denmark, Bouncer (Ch & Ir Ch Badlesmere Brabazon In Kofyn ShCM EW09 CW10) is RBD & RCACIB.
June 12/13th back to back shows in Romania Madalina Florea's Kofyn Karbon
Zero takes Best Baby Puppy In Show both days! Pic opposite.
June 12th, Mel has the great honour of judging Long
Coat Chihuahua's at the West Country Chi Club. BOB was Dr Curr's young dog King Cosmo Natimuk who clinched RBIS against the Smooth Coats, RBOB was Mr Rooney's Yorone Present And Correct. BOS Foley's Tamilay Queen Of The Stars. BPIB
was Garwood's Jibsbest Diamond Tiara At Jedisty. Pics on
judging gallery.
June 10th Three Counties Ch Sh, we never got to show the Minis (dont ask!) but Dani (Yarraman Blu Koala In Kofyn) does us proud by clinching the
RCC (single ticket over the dog) under judge Mr Steve Hall who said if Mel's handling had been better Dani might have had the
BCC!!, Bless him, Mr Hall is a Pastoral specialist.
June 4th, we are devastated to learn of the death of Royal Canin snapper Kevin Hughes who has taken pics of our top winning dogs for us, Kevin was just 34 years old, our thoughts and prayers are with his family, he was a fab bloke
and will be a terrific loss!
May 31st, Mel has the great honour of judging Bulldogs at Bath CS
Ch Sh drawing the largest entry in the group (115/123) and one of the largest entries overall. She found her BCC & BOB in Paul and Maria Harding's Ch Pringham's Eclair Glace which gave her her crown.
DCC & BOS in Mr & Mrs Connor's Jays Dream Nelson, a first for dog and owner. RDCC The Tearle Family's Terlinfair Remy, RBCC The Roberts Family's Sealaville She's Roxanne At Isgraig. BPIB the Goodwin's family's Britishpride Creed. Pics on our winners gallery. Must just mention
the two worst stewards in the history of stewarding not their ability - their attitude!
May 25th, we sadly say 'goodbye' to Helga the horse who goes to pastures new (forgive the pun!).
May 9th, The National championship show, Dani (Yarraman Blu Koala In Kofyn) stands alone to win limit bitch, however the judge prefers dogs without reach and drive (not to mention eyes stuck on the side of heads) for her top honours.
May 7th, The National championship show, Wilma (White Eyed And Legless In Kofyn) wins the RCC under specialist judge Sylivia Monoghan (Nostradamus). As she is beaten by a bitch we both admire and have both given BOB to before we are happy with
this placing!
April 25th, WELKS championship show, Wilma (White Eyed And Legless In Kofyn) takes her second CC and BOB at just 15 months old!
WOW! The judge is Mrs Maureen Ward. Not to be outdone Lottie is placed second behind her in open bitch.
If you were wondering why the updating of this website has been slow and erratic over the last 12 weeks, that is because the Mini Bull Stork arrived! Bouncer and Lottie are the proud parents of 2 boys and 3 girls. Good luck to their new owners when they hit the show circuit.
What did we keep? You'll have to wait and see!
April 10th Malcolm has the great honour of judging the Terrier & Utility groups and BIS at Aberystwyth & DCS. He would like to thank the Committee for their kind invitation and hospitality. He found his BIS in Sally Neath-Duggan's Buffrey Gift Wrapped (Dalmatian).
RBIS Tanner's Fallowfield Sporty (Beagle). BPIS Pritchard's Trebettyn Floral Dance (Golden Retriever). RBIS Connor's Ringablok Hatty Jakes (French Bulldog).
Congrats to you all and yes as usual he forgot the camera.
Now we did attend Bristol & DCS somewhere in this gap but can't remember the date but we can remember Wilma was second behind a Travella Wire (Go Bill!!).
April 3rd Once again for the second year running Bouncer attends Contest of Champions event in London. No other Mini Bull has attended this event twice in a row. Although he did not make it through to the final after being runner up last year it was a hard act to follow!
More importantly a lot of money was raised for charity!
April 3rd National Terrier championship show, Wilma (White Eyed And Legless In Kofyn) is 3rd in Junior bitch under breed specialist Elaine Clark (Fourheatons/Grandopera) which we were pleased with, especially as seconds before
she was due to go in her class she fell off her bench and became trapped underneath it. She was rescued by two gentlemen from another breed (of course!) but was also covered in black dust from head to foot! She made her appearance in ring
resembling a coal miner! After the breed judging we managed to just get in the Open Stakes Bitch class which she won under judge Phillip Greenway (Rayfos).
March 28th, Malcolm had the great honour of judging the MBTC Open Show. He would like to thank the Committee for their hospitality and kindness.. He was delighted with his entry of 44 dogs (more than at the majority of championship shows!) He found his BB & BIS in Mary and Alan LLewllyn's beautiful bitch Merkava Kleopatra By Bullypins. RBIS and RBB Sally and Jill Richardson's Little White Lie At Quayardson.
BD & BOS Dobbin, Van Eck and Monaghan's Debully Enter Sandman. BPIS Mr Dodwells Decadance Defender. Congrats to you all!
March 17th St Patricks Day Show, Dublin, Eire. Happy St Patricks Day to all our
Emerald Isle mates! Bouncer takes the Green Star and BOB under Ken Crockett.
Wilma is RBB. Malcolm missed Dani's class completely! LOL! He's getting slow in his old age!
March 15th, we say 'Good Bye' to Ashley who has to get back to her college studies in the US, come back soon Ashley!
March 13th, Crufts
the turn of the Bulldog Girlz in the largest entry in the Utility group. Mel was ecstatic to say the least when Darcy is placed 2nd in Mid Limit under Swedish specilaist judge Ove Germundson.
Ashley and Nigella are unplaced but no disgrace given the size of the limit bitch class. Ashley scores a VHC with Frenchie Pepe for his owner Sandy Singleton.
March 12th, Crufts, next up the Mini Team Bouncer and Wilma who also took seconds in open dog and limit bitch respectively under judge Gay Branch. In the circumstances we were pleased with these placings
and Ashley did superbly at her first ever Crufts!
March 11th, Crufts 2010 and first of the show team into the ring is Dani The Girl From Downunder, who is placed second in Junior bitch, the judge is Mike Vines. We were disapointed with this placing but as she had sustained a minor eye injury
and with the KC's recent 'eye' rules the judge felt he could not place her higher.
March 8th Ashley Stowell our American Pro Handler flies in to assist the Kofyn Show Team with Crufts, it was a minor detail we forgot to collect her from the airport - honest!
March 6th, The Bulldog Inc Ch Sh, the Bulldog Girls Darcy and Nigella strut their stuff under specialist Chris Carberry in strong competition. Neither is placed but the eventual BIS Mystyle Eye Candy Ocobo
has been awarded a CC by both Malcolm and Mel so we are delighted!
February 28th Flanders Int Ch Sh, Belgium, Bouncer takes the CAC, CACIB, & BOB under judge Mrs Cathy Delmar from Eire.
February 16th Dani (Yarraman Blu Koala In Kofyn) is awarded the IKC Annual Champion 2009 award jointly, which in other words means she is joint Top Dog in Eire!
February 14th Gloucester & DCS Garth (Kofyn Kuminowt To Play) is BOB under Bulldog specialist Mrs Linda Mills and goes on to take group 2 from Mr Neil Smith.
January 23rd Manchester Ch Sh Dani wins JB and is RBB under judge Mrs Sue Searle (Murrayvale) a great start to her Junior classes.
January 22nd Manchester Ch Sh Darcy the Bulldog was entered but neither of us could get there due to work committments so apologies to judge Mr Ernie Paterson.
January 21st Manchester Ch Sh Bouncer is 3rd in a hotly contested OD NSC class, Wilma goes one better with 2nd in OB and RBB, go Wilma!! The Judge is Stuart Plane (Stuane).
January 10th Boston Ch Sh, although snowed in Malcolm and Bouncer manage to get out and are delighted to win BD & BOS NSC under judge David Shields.
January 2nd 2010 the first show of 2010. Dani The Girl From Downunder (Yarraman Blu Koala In Kofyn) is RBOB under judge gary Gray (Slatehouse). Not to be outdone Wilma (White Eyed And Legless In Kofyn) is VHC in a strong NSC open class under judge Andrew Westwood (Nethertonion)
ans then secon in a huge junior stakes class under the Great Gadsby (Afterglow)!
Our site counter is set to unique hits only but we know it has become a bit of 'cult' with even judges viewing to see what we have to say about them.
However many thanks to Anne Moynagh who wrote in our guest book
"great site it made me laugh and cry may the lady and the lord send you many blessing blessed be"
which we think sums it up nicely!
